SCULPTURE
"...The peculiar thing about a sculpture is that it's primarily form. Before it's anything
else, it's form, whereas perhaps one could say that, in issues of mysticism or
consciousness, there is an emanation from consciousness towards form. But, in a sculpture,
it's form first and then some essence emanates from the form... The manipulation of form is
very important in sculpture. The architectonics of it becomes the carrier of the subtlety."
Jan Valentin Saether in an interview by Robert Zanger: "Talking Art, Imagination and Albert
Hofmann", pp. 54-58. In: Psychedelic Illuminations, Vol. 1, issue VII (1994)
