Hi and welcome to my site. I am a Norwegian freelance art historian and
writer, living and working in cold Oslo while dreaming about sunny California
or Italy or London or anywhere guaranteed snowfree in the wintertime.
I graduated from the University in Oslo (summa cum laudae) spring 2002 with
a thesis on Fascist city planning and architecture exploring the hidden power and
control structures underlying the town of Sabaudia in Lazio, Italy. The thesis,
"Sabaudia 1934: Materializing the Fascist Corporate Town" is 150 pages long with
an entire volume of illustrations, and it can be ordered from me at:
hanne@handtomouth.net. Price NOK 300 (covers the printing costs).
You will find some more information about the project on
my project site: welcome.to/Sabaudia (not updated for a long time now).
A year ago I started my own little gallery, nordic art info on a loft in Oslo
(actually my husband's studio when I don't kick him out). So far we have shown
nine solo exhibitions with (young?) Norwegian artists (at least young at heart),
each exhibition lasting for four days. Our main goal is to
