This summer, after signing the contract on July 11, we could finally start working. So, we got Jan's son, Tristan, over from Los Angeles and some nice local blokes to help us clear the land as everything was covered in blackberry bushes, nestles, little trees, - you name it. We also started tearing down old shit that had to go, and a caravan and several old farm machines were removed. You would not believe the amount of crap that gathers in an old place like this. (We also have bats, bunnies, spiders and an abundance of wasps.) But there are nice surprices too: We found several plum trees behind Jan's studio.

Help! What's this? The main house to the left, Jan's studio in the background, and our mailbox to the right. (We have a mailbox in France, isn't that great?)
